Block9 Is A Hedonistic, Queer Paradise

Cyndi Lauper did a surprise performance there this year, so it must be good.

It’s been two weeks since Glastonbury, and the foot blisters are finally starting to heal. The memories are a little hazy, but you have an image, somewhere, of getting into a dark and strange corner, full of intimidating sculptures and freaky, beautiful people. Block9 is like an immersive theme park for hedonism, with the Gay club NYC Downlow providing a distinctly Queer flavour to this corner of the festival. The Queer rave to end all Queer raves, if you will. Cyndi Lauper even did a surprise performance there this year, which must mean it’s good. These were some of the biggest moments from Block9 at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
